WordPress for Symbian Development Build Released prior toV 0.7Posted by MickyFin in App NewsIf you are interested in taking part, and helping the Official WordPress near its final release, head over to the WordPress Development Blog and download the latest Development Build of WordPress for Symbian. http://dev.nokia.wordpress.org This latest Dev Build seems to have issues adding a live url, so I have just let the WordPress team know about that. Its the WordPress Nokia Developers team’s openness about building the Official WordPress Application for Nokia which makes helping, and taking part in testing there work on my Nokia fun, and quite interesting. You don’t need any technical knowledge as such to take part and help build this application, so why not head over to the link above, and start testing. The sooner issues are ironed out, the sooner the WordPress for Symbian will be finished, polished, and ready for primetime. If you do decide to help, and test this software, please report any issues you may have in the threads within the WordPress Blog, or submit a bug ticket. Remember to include as much information about your issue, or bug found, detailing which Nokia device you are using to test the software on, which firmware its running, and of course if you could supply screenshots, and a breakdown of how the bug, issue, or error was found. Good Luck! Tags: App NewsEarlier today whilst out and about, I was quite surprised to still see a number of iPods, and dedicated MP3 players being used, and even noticed one young girl chatting on her mobile, whilst playing with her small MP3 player. Her phone looked like a Nokia N81, or N96, but cannot be sure. So this begs the question. What feature do you use on your Nokia the most? If you answer “Telephone Calls”, then I guess I asked for that lol. seriously though, I personally use my N97 to listen to my massive Music Library the most, with Gravity a close second, then “Telephone Call”, and of course texts, and WordPress, which I’m using to write this post. Seeing what I observed today got me thinking. Is the Nokia Music Player that non-user-friendly for many to prefer a dedicated MP3 Player? What are your experiences with Nokia Music Player? Do you use Playlists? Have you successfully organised all your tracks, or are they completely random on your mass memory/memory card? My Music Library consists of over 1000 tracks, and I have some audio books too, which I now have these audio books set up as playlists, but compiling these lists really was a PITA. So maybe its this time consuming process of customising your music in a mobile phone that puts most people off? Let me know your thoughts on this, as Im interested in getting some feedback on your experiences with the default Nokia Music Player. Look forward to your replies. Tags: App NewsSo Facebook is down, and has been for a few hours now, but can you cope without your facebook fix? I know I can, but doesn’t it appear strange that after the day of all those news stories claiming facebook was going to take over the web, it crashes. meh. It’s rumored that work productivity has skyrocketed since it went down too;)
Upon leaving Nokia World last year, I was given a Nokia BH-214 to take away with me, and it came in really useful as I had actually forgotten to pack any headphones for my travel to Stuttgart, Germany where Nokia World was held last year.
On the top of the remote you will find the central On/Off button, which is also used to pair the remote with your bluetooth enabled device. To the right of the On/Off button you have a multi-coloured led, which is your status indicator. This is used to indicate not only the status of the Remote during usage, but also acts as a charging status indicator too. The Microphone is located to the left of the On/Off Button, and on the rear of the Remote you have the belt clip. Onto the bottom of the device you will find the standard Nokia 2mm Charging socket.
You can also use the BH-214 as an handsfree, with “Call Answer” button at the top of the front, then moving clockwise you have “Next Track”, or hold down for “Fast Forward”, at the six o’clock position you have the “Play, and Pause” button, and then finally at the 9′oclock position you have the “Back, and Rewind” button, and of course, the Volume rocker switch on the side.
For example, whilst shooting videos with your Nokia device, if you are putting together, say a presentation, or alike where you are talking to the camera, you can actually use theBH-214 as a wireless Bluetooth Microphone, and with a great wire-free range of 30ft or so, its a sound solution for just this purpose, and saves having any wires getting in your way whilst shooting your video presentations. BH-214 Specifications… Dimensions Operating keys Connectors Operating temperature LED indicators for status notifications PowerPower supply Operating time (maximum) Connectivity Bluetooth profiles Further information on the Nokia BH-214 can be found over at the Nokia Official Website. As many of you will know, especially my twitter followers, Im currently in the process of relocating to a larger apartment, where I will finally get my own dedicated office space, but more importantly, my own desk.! Below is an image of my current setup, which due to living in a tiny apartment restricted me to our kitchen dining table, which as you can imagine, is far from ideal. This cramped workspace has been restricting my workflow for quite a while now, so Im so excited to finally moving into a much bigger place, somewhere I can work in comfort, with plenty of workspace, and desk real estate for my photography equipment, various Nokia trial devices, and accessories.

The Nokia CP-322 – Nokia N86 8MP Carry Case from Mobilefun.co.ukPosted by MickyFin in NOKIA, ReviewsThe Nokia CP-322 N86 8MP Carry Case is a simple, yet effective way of protecting your prized Nokia N86, keeping it safe from scratches from daily transportation methods, be it in your pockets, to your car glovebox etc, this case will keep your N86 screen safe from scratches, and more importantly, protect that 8MP Camera too.
Micky’s Star Rating (out of 10) I give The Nokia CP-322 Case a 7. (Mainly due to not a full protection case). |
