Ok folks, this is yet another test, yes, I know I know, I carry out a lot of tests here on NokiaDNA, but they are with good reason, to hopefully help you in some way, by maybe saving you time from going through similar installations on your Nokia handset, only to be disappointed when something goes wrong.

So what am I testing this time I hear you ask?

Well, I guess the post title kind of gives it away. Yes, I Writing this post on my trusty White N86, and using T9, with predictive text, and I can tell you now, the physical qwerty on my N97 has really spoilt me, so much so, Im determined to get WordMobi working correctly on it.

I have to admire anyone who uses a T9 device as their main mobile, which actually reminds me of a fellow Blogger, Kflyer, who runs his own blog, www.mobileroyale.cc completely from his Nokia N95-1, as he does not own a computer. Hats off to him, really.

Ok, back to this test of mine before I get too side tracked.

After experiencing a blonde moment, I had forgot how to start a new line for a T9 device, and also forgot how to highlight text to copy and paste. Not risking losing my writing incase WordMobi crashes and burns chaini when I attempt to attach an image, like it did on N97.

Just incase you are not familiar with the above two T9 functions, I will explain.

To start a new line, simply quickly press the number 0 three times.

To select written text, ready to copy and paste, this is a litte more tricky, especially if you have big fingers.

Position the cursor either at the start, or end of your very, then, hold down your # key, and whilst keeping that depressed, press the D-Pad in the direction of the text you wish to highlight, then once you have highlighted the text you wish to copy, keep the # key depressed, and select ‘copy’. Some devices show a prompt that the text has been copied to clipboard, some dont, so if in your case, the latter, dont close your app, hit menu, and locate notes, in your office folder, start new note, then hold down the # key, and then you will see the ‘paste’ option appear. Done.

Talk about getting side-tracked, where was I. Oh yeah, adding an image in WordMobi on my N86.

Here goes nothing, hopefully you will see a local image from my N86 below, he not, then I will be frustrated to say the least.

#!?*#?!!

Yes, you guessed correctly, WordMobi crashed and burned when I tried to add a local image stored on my N86. Im determined to get to the bottom of these issues, as they cannot be isolated to just my two devices, but I have heard from a few people who have successfully posted a blog post, not only using WordMobi, but also adding a local image too. The devices confirmed to be working fine, are just the Nokia E71 so far.

To be continued..
