As the title of this posts suggests, yes, I am indeed still waiting on Steve Jobs to announce the availability of the White iPhone 4, in what seems like forever since the iPhone 4 was actually announced now, and the Black iPhone 4 being in peoples hands for months.

My observations on the many Apple related sites, and forums are of both surprise, and interest. Firstly, I obviously know Im not the only one waiting on the White iPhone 4, but that said, its really interesting to see large numbers of consumers buckling and giving up on waiting, but instead of giving up on Apple, blaming Jobs for this lengthy wait for the White model, they choose to go for the Black model iPhone 4 instead.

Now whilst this is interesting to me, my surprise comes from the level patients that many of the online, active consumers have, yes, myself included. Many people are happy to wait, and in the mean time, they are killing time by posting various threads about Apples latest announcements, ie, The Magic Track Pad, and Apple Battery Charger.

Sure, there are some threads within the various Apple forums where the odd consumer goes off on one, saying sod it, I will get the black iP4, and change the covers for the white one, simple, done, eGay.

Well, not eGay, but eBay should I mention has become a place for really stupid people, no, not everyone of course, Im actually referring to the number of Black iPhone 4′s on eBay which white fascia, and back glass fitted. Even though the sellers are telling these consumers that the covers have been changed, people are still bidding, and buying, in some cases up to $1460USD Shocking!

Back to Apple, and with the various negative press doing the rounds about Jobs deleting videos, and posts in various Official Apple online outlets, sites etc, there is still a very high level of interest in the iPhone 4, its amazing really. Given all of the reported faults of the iPhone 4, from the Antenna issue, glass breaking from a drop knee hight, to Apple Bumpers now starting to crack, all of this is not going against Apple in the sense of bad press, or people jumping ship.

Yes, I’m still waiting for my White iPhone 4, and I can imagine you are wondering why, given all this negativity around the iPhone 4, and its maker, Apple, why do I still insist on buying one? The answer, because I want to. I want to see what all this fuss is about, and wish to not only experience the iPhone 4, and iOS4, but also wish to learn from it, and see what the big attraction is.

Being an Enthusiast of Nokia, I know a lot of people are looking forward to my thoughts on this latest phone from Apple, and you can be sure, I won’t let you down either, as soon as the White model becomes available, I will be getting my hands on it right away, and will start documenting everything about it right here on NokiaDNA.
