Today Nokia Beta Labs pushed out an Experimental application called Bubbles, and it brings a stunning, and beautiful animation to your Symbian^3 home screen unlocking procedure.

Although in experimental stage, I would certainly say that this is a big positive step in the right direction for Nokia and their software, after all, eye candy is not just beautiful to look at, its an interaction between you, the user, and the device itself.

Bubbles is a fun and efficient way to take a shortcut to timely or useful things on your phone. Bubbles appears when you press the “Apps” key while your device is in sleep mode (instead of the black screen with clock and unlock button). Simply grab a bubble and drag it to one of the available drop points to initiate the corresponding action.

More information, and download files are available here at Nokia Beta Labs. Lets hope this is an on going forward trend at Nokia, and their software. Hats off to the Beta Labs team for this release.
